Our company exists to promote and protect life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We design, build, and support security and intelligence products. Our core expertise is in small, lightweight, low-cost radar systems for unmanned and manned aircraft, primarily in the military domain. We cover the entire lifecycle, often beginning with defining a market where none exists, designing and building the product, training the customer on how to use the system, and supporting it in the field with field service technicians or an embedded analyst team within the unit we support.

We have some exciting opportunities and we are looking to grow our team by bringing on an experienced and proven Materials manager. This position will report directly to the COO and will play a significant role in the growth and expansion of IMSAR. We need someone with the smarts, skills, and experience to manage our Materials team. We're a fairly flat company with a small but extremely capable materials team. You'd be working with our COO, offering your input on how to build and grow this amazing team while keeping costs low and following required ISO guidelines. These are some of the things that are important to us:

  • You have 5-10 years or more of experience in management of materials and procurement
  • You demonstrate deeply the IMSAR All In, Stand Up and Can-Do values
  • You have a BS degree in business, accounting, management or related discipline
  • You are proficient in MS Office and Google Workplace
  • You have a strong knowledge in Purchasing/Contract writing You can see the big picture while challenging assumptions in helping guide the materials team roadmap
  • You are comfortable with and capable of managing purchasing, inventory, shipping and receiving personnel with varying degrees of experience
  • You are proficient with ERP/MRP systems with understanding of new implementations (Deltek Costpoint preferred)
  • You have a sound understanding of the AS9100 structure
  • You can implement and manage a cross-functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates make versus buy, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, material and associated cost elements
  • You want to work closely and can develop deep relationships with vendors/supplier, employees and customers
  • You have love for your fellow employees and deeply care about their welfare and needs
