Job Summary:

Our company specializes in small, high-performance Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and Moving Target Indicator (MTI) systems for manned and unmanned aircraft. We boast the world's smallest, high-performance SAR. In addition to our SAR system, we develop our own antennas, electronic and mechanical gimbals, pod and mounting structures, communication links, ground station processing servers, and exploitation and dissemination software. Our team is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and test software used on embedded processors in our state of the art radar systems. Our ideal candidate will have experience developing on 32-bit & 64-bit Linux systems. Knowledge and experience programming in C++ is a must. There will be occasional coding in the Linux kernel using C. A working knowledge of Python/Qt is also heavily desirable. The job requires quick thinking and an ability to grasp complex systems. The candidate should be familiar with Agile development methods. 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop new functionality within existing software systems
  • Develop and document tests for embedded systems
  • Learn the use of new systems and create a foundation and framework for staging software developed by others
  • Help plan and architect our next generation software version
  • Work with others in the creation of those systems
  • Provide support during manufacture and use of systems using embedded software
  • Maintain and define software release sets
  • Document and improve test procedures
  • Code reviews, managing additions to software repositories such as GIT
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Requirements, Education, Certifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of C++/C.
  • Strict discipline for writing unit and system tests for regression control.
  • UML Diagram experience is required.
  • Experience using GIT as a software revision control system.
  • Working knowledge of networking between devices, ie, TCP, UDP, PCIe, etc

  • Able to reapply known principles to new uses
  • Can solve problems related to software
  • Comfortable working with hardware and can solve problems related to hardware failures
  • Clean programming and commenting is essential

Essential Physical functions and Working Conditions:


Work performed in an office environment, with no exposure to inclement weather. Some light physical effort required. Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.   Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facilities.   Minimal travel required.   Noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
